Our nutrition program lead Mario de Paz on in front of our latest shipment of PlumpyNut, which will be distributed to between 3,000 and 4,000 severely malnourished children.

After three strikes, two blockades, and the usual whips and scorns of time, our latest shipment of PlumpyNut has arrived! The last little problem was that the trailer got stuck on a mountainous bend 7 kms from the clinic. The muchachos had to load the boxes on pickups from 8pm to 3am. Fortunately it was not raining.

Now, our team of 50 nurses, nutrition counselors, and volunteers will travel over the mountains through loose networks of villages to identify severely malnourished infants to receive intervention and then track their progress over six months.
