We connect children who need specialized medical support with the services they need and facilitate their care and treatment.
Roughly 20% of patients receiving treatment in our programs have extraordinary medical needs.
To serve these children we pursue partnerships with humanitarian aid organizations that specialize in critical treatments, advocating that our patients receive care, scheduling procedures, covering costs, facilitating travel and other logistics, and following up on their care and recovery.
Some children receive surgeries including for complex cardiac and orthopedic problems, cleft lips and palates and eye surgery. Others are fitted with prostheses, get vision or hearing testing, neurological assessment, dental work, medications, wheelchairs, walkers, hearing aids, etc.

The Moore Pediatric Surgery Center in Guatemala City, which offers highly specialized surgeries free to Guatemalan children from families of limited means
The Range Of Motion Project (ROMP), an NGO working in Guatemala City to fit children with prosthetic limbs
Orthopedic Solutions to Surgical Access (OSSA), another NGO in Guatemala City, providing orthopedic surgery at reduced rates and specialising in club feet
Beeline Wheelchairs, an NGO in Guatemala providing customised wheelchairs specially designed for Guatemalan environments
Unidad de Cirugía Cardiovascular de Guatemala (UNICAR), an NGO in Guatemala City providing free care for children with cardiovascular issues including surgery
